After thinking about this long and hard for a little while, I was still clueless. So I started looking on other blogs just to see what everyone else’s take on this subject was. I must say I agree with Brooki. A renaissance PERSON is someone who is very skilled in more than one subject, and excels in a wide variety of things. I know I have used her already in a video and in no way am I a huge fan of Oprah, but she is a very successful woman and helps out alot of people. As supervising producer and host of the award winning Oprah Winfrey Show, she has entertained, enlightened and uplifted millions of viewers for the past two decades. Her accomplishments as a global media leader and philanthropist have established her as one of the most respected and admired public figures today. Here is a list of the awards she has been nominated for and the awards she has won. This just goes to show how much she has done and how much she is admired by people around the world.

Excellent choice lyndseylu! She is a talk-show host, actress, philanthropist, business executive, and all-around successful, intelligent woman. Your list of awards definitely helps prove your point. Though I may not always agree with all of Oprah’s views, I certainly admire her work ethic and dedication to helping others.
Thanks!
